Plain-language terms for using and buying NewMac apps.
Last updated: 27 October 2026
NewMac (“we”, “us”) makes the Mac apps listed on newmac.app. Purchases are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments, which handles payment, taxes and invoices.
Each paid app can be downloaded and used free for a trial period shown on its page (normally 7 days). After the trial, some actions need a license; your existing data stays on your Mac and remains yours.
The apps run on your Mac. Some features change, move or delete files only when you ask them to; many send items to the Trash first so you can undo. Please keep backups of important data. The apps are distributed directly rather than through the Mac App Store, so macOS asks you to confirm the first time you open one.
The apps are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded.
See our refund policy.
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: [email protected].
